Public Health Curriculum (Reproductive)
The Master of Public Health (Reproductive Health) curriculum at Select College is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of reproductive health and equip them with the necessary skills to address public health challenges in this field. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience to prepare graduates for careers in research, policy-making, program management, and advocacy related to reproductive health.
Course Objectives:
1. Introduction to Reproductive Health: This course provides an overview of the key concepts, principles, and frameworks in reproductive health. Students will gain a solid foundation in understanding the biological, social, cultural, and economic factors that influence reproductive health outcomes.
2. Epidemiology of Reproductive Health: This course focuses on the epidemiological methods used to study reproductive health issues. Students will learn how to analyze and interpret data related to reproductive health indicators, identify risk factors, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
3. Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights: This course explores the legal and ethical aspects of sexual and reproductive health. Students will examine the rights-based approach to reproductive health, including issues such as access to contraception, safe abortion, and prevention of gender-based violence.
4. Maternal and Child Health: This course delves into the various factors affecting maternal and child health outcomes. Students will learn about prenatal care, childbirth practices, infant and child nutrition, immunization, and strategies for reducing maternal and child mortality.
5. Family Planning and Contraception: This course focuses on the different methods of family planning and contraception available, their effectiveness, and their implications for reproductive health. Students will explore strategies for promoting family planning services and addressing barriers to access.
6. Reproductive Health Program Management: This course equips students with the skills necessary to design, implement, and evaluate reproductive health programs. Students will learn about program planning, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilization, and stakeholder engagement.
7. Reproductive Health Policy and Advocacy: This course examines the policy-making process and the role of advocacy in shaping reproductive health policies. Students will learn how to analyze policy documents, develop evidence-based policy recommendations, and effectively advocate for reproductive health issues.
8. Research Methods in Reproductive Health: This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to conduct research in the field of reproductive health. Students will learn about study design, data collection and analysis, ethical considerations, and dissemination of research findings.
Throughout the curriculum, students will engage in case studies, group projects, and fieldwork to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings. The Master of Public Health (Reproductive Health) program at Select College aims to produce graduates who are well-equipped to address the complex challenges in reproductive health and contribute to improving the well-being of individuals and communities.
For MA candidates
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, pharmacy or related health school fields you are the primary candidate. If you have a degree in social science or humanities or other background, you need to keep in mind that you may need to take take few bridging courses to compensate your background academic gap.

BA in Management Tuition Fee
The Total Tuition fee for the four years BA program in Economics is ETB 43,200 for both regular and evening programs. This amount do NOT include your stationary and other related expenses. In addition, it should be noted that the college may increase the tuition fee based on the annual inflation analysis.
As we are currently developing a 100% online program, the tuition fee for the Online program would be posted here once it is launched.

You can pay your total tuition fee according to your choice of our two installment mechanisms. At registration, you will be given the choice to select either to make payments on monthly basis or on Credit hours basis.

Registration to the program will be done online via the College’s official website. https://Select.edu.et Alternatively students may visit our office in-person and get resisted. Students’ registration to a program involves completing the online application Form and making payment. If there is any problem regarding payment, the applicant should contact the finance office at finance@select.edu.et to get support.
