Project Management Curriculum (Masters)
The Master of Arts in Project Management program at Select College is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of project management. The curriculum is carefully crafted to provide a comprehensive understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Course Objectives:
1. Project Planning and Execution: This course focuses on developing skills in project planning, scheduling, and execution. Students will learn how to create project plans, allocate resources, and manage project risks effectively.
2. Leadership and Team Management: This course aims to enhance students’ leadership abilities and their capacity to manage project teams. It covers topics such as team dynamics, conflict resolution, and motivation techniques to ensure successful project outcomes.
3. Project Risk Management: This course delves into the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks. Students will learn how to develop risk management strategies, analyze potential risks, and implement appropriate risk response plans.
4. Project Quality Management: This course emphasizes the importance of quality in project management. Students will learn how to develop quality management plans, conduct quality assurance activities, and implement quality control measures to ensure project success.
5. Project Communication and Stakeholder Management: Effective communication and stakeholder management are crucial for project success. This course equips students with the skills to develop communication plans, manage stakeholder expectations, and resolve conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle.
6. Project Procurement and Contract Management: This course focuses on the procurement process and contract management in project environments. Students will learn how to develop procurement strategies, evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
7. Project Integration and Governance: This course provides an overview of project integration and governance principles. Students will learn how to integrate project components, align project objectives with organizational goals, and establish effective project governance structures.
8. Project Monitoring and Control: This course covers techniques for monitoring and controlling project progress. Students will learn how to track project performance, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
9. Strategic Project Management: This course explores the strategic aspects of project management. Students will learn how to align projects with organizational strategy, prioritize projects, and manage project portfolios effectively.
10. Capstone Project: The program culminates with a capstone project where students apply their knowledge and skills to a real-world project. This project allows students to demonstrate their ability to manage projects from initiation to closure, integrating all the concepts learned throughout the program.

By combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, graduates are prepared to lead and manage projects successfully in various industries.
For MA candidates
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in Management, economics, accounting or related business school fields you are the primary candidate. If you have a degree in social science or humanities or other background, you need to keep in mind that you may need to take take few bridging courses to compensate your background academic gap.
Master’s Tuition Fee
The Total Tuition fee for the two years Master’s program is ETB 38,400 for both regular and evening programs. This amount do NOT include your stationary and other related expenses. In addition, it should be noted that the college may increase the tuition fee based on the annual inflation analysis.
As we are currently developing a 100% online program, the tuition fee for the Online program would be posted here once it is launched.
Tuition fee installments
You can pay your total tuition fee according to your choice of our two installment mechanisms. At registration, you will be given the choice to select either to make payments on monthly basis or on Credit hours basis.

Registration to the program will be done online via the College’s official website. https://Select.edu.et Alternatively students may visit our office in-person and get resisted. Students’ registration to a program involves completing the online application Form and making payment. If there is any problem regarding payment, the applicant should contact the finance office at finance@select.edu.et to get support.
